No matter where it’s going, it will be there at 10:00 AM just took on another meaning when Civic Duty, a new line of futuristic sneakers came into the market announcing that it is made up of indestructible FedEx envelopes.

So, “will be there at 10:00 AM,” can now mean walking to your place, instead of the red, blue and orange truck on your street.

And for the avid video gamers and sci-fi fans out there, imagine a typical pair of Chucks, reworked for Tron (we hear there’s a whole subplot about FedExing stuff).

So after they’re dyed in a bright color (red, blue, two shades of brown) and sewn to a recyclable rubber sole, they go through a wrinkling process to give them the look of crumpled-up paper. (Trust us: everyone’s going to be wearing crumpled paper next spring.)

The result: easily the most elegant way to strap some envelopes to your feet. Also: a handsome pair of shoes that happens to be pretty easy to pack.

So if you plan on turning your next Tokyo business trip into an all-night karaoke marathon with the locals (and you do), you’ll want to tuck a pair of these into any available corner of your carry-on before jetting off.

I’m loving the new items that Warehouse have at the moment, if only things weren’t so darn pricey, i would probably buy the entire shop at the moment…but of unfortunately, my budget doesn’t quite stretch to that and i don’t have my press discount card yet (please please warehouse, i need one so that i can give honest reviews of the items to my readers! lol) anyway, enough of me rambling….these are my two hot picks of the moment.

The one shoulder dress (£60) is a must for summer girls, and this lovely aqua blue is a great dress for all skintones, looks wonderful on tanned and darker skin but equally as stunning on pale skin too. Add some bright fushia or orange accessories for a really bold and stunning look.

And this lighweight draping waterfall jacket (£55) is so now and a great essential for your summer wardobe.

Dexter Paige Flower Sandal, $22.99

The good thing about Payless is that their stores are conveniently located in strip-malls across America, so after a recent trip to the grocery store, I ducked into the neighboring Payless to see if they had anything decent and snapped some pics for that “real life” footage many shoppers appreciate (product pics can be so misleading!). Nothing really blew me away on this visit, but they had a couple cute pairs of sandals like the textural flower thong sandal (above), which comes in 4 colors and has a quirky-chic, designer feel. Check out their newly revamped website for dozens more styles including eco-friendly shoes from zac&zoe, these adorable ribbon-striped heels from Lela Rose, and these potentially fierce gladiator platforms from alice + olivia. Also, Payless.com now offers flat rate ground shipping for $5.95, in case you didn’t know.

1. Marshalls: This off-price retailer’s unique business model makes it difficult to run an effective e-commerce gig, but that hasn’t hurt Marshalls’ bottom line in the least. I’m willing to shop in person if it helps keep prices low.

2. TJ Maxx: Like Marshalls (its sister company), TJ Maxx offers department store brands without the department store prices on everything from home goods to designer shoes. If you have the patience and know your style, you’re guaranteed to score some amazing deals at TJ’s.

3. Strawberry: I’ve only been to Strawberry once on N Broadway in Chicago (although according to a review on Yelp.com, that store has since closed) but it seemed like a good place for super cheap trendy basics. If you live in the NYC area, hit up Strawberry for inexpensive tees, flip-flops and other juniors apparel.

4. Stein Mart: Before you head to Macy’s, check out Stein Mart, another chain that carries department store brands at a discount. I don’t live near a Stein Mart but I have friends who shop there all the time. They also have great coupons, so sign up for their email newsletters for the latest deals, sales and printable coupons.
5. Joyce Leslie: This store serves up hot and trendy juniors fashions to residents of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut. Since we didn’t have these back in Chicago, Joyce Leslie is on my short list of places to check out soon.

6. Rainbow: The selective fashionista will find a treasure-trove of cute and trendy pieces at this nation-wide chain, with most items under $20. Look past the hoochie club gear and you’ll do fine.

7. Dressbarn: To be honest, I’ve never shopped at Dressbarn because I don’t like the name: A barn is the last place I want to shop for fashion. However, a friend of mine recently told me they’ve upped their styles and she found a beautiful LBD to wear to a wedding for $30, so I promise to shop there soon!

8. Dots: In addition to juniors, misses and plus size apparel, Dots carries accessories and work appropriate attire. If you have an eye for style, and live in the northeastern, southern or midwestern U.S., you’ll find some gems at Dots, especially in the dress department. Just about everything’s under $20.

9. Bob’s Stores: Here’s another chain that serves states in the northeast. I’ll admit the name kinda makes me cringe (who wants to buy fashion at a place called “Bob’s”??) but if you want cheap athletic wear or some work boots, you’ll find it at Bob’s.
10: Discovery: Aw. Discovery holds a special place in my heart, and if you grew up in Chicago you’d know why because Discovery just keeps it real. It is not high fashion by any means, but it’s a place to find fun and oftentimes outrageous fashions under $20.
